Ever heard of a knit bomb? Well you have now. Elre and Carol from McDade Roberts Accountants have been busy clacking their knitting needles recently to create a dramatic and creative knit bomb all over a bicycle in order to celebrate the Tour Of Britain which will be going past the McDade Roberts office in Longridge on the 7th September. The knitted bike will be on display at the Alston Arms pub which is on the Tour Of Britain route. It includes an array of colours and textures to give a really rich and varied artistic effect that is sure to stop people on their cycle tracks. The distinct McDade Roberts green colour is part of the design along with Caribbean colours to reflect McDade Roberts sponsorship of the Preston Caribbean Carnival that happened earlier this year. As a tribute to Carol’s mum who sadly passed away recently, Aran designs will be included on the bike along with squares her mum crafted. A spider is even attached to the bicycle to give the effect of a spider’s web crawling all over the bike. And who said accountants couldn’t be creative?
