Kevin Gets On His Bike For Charity

Our latest sporting achievement was completed by McDade Roberts MD Kevin Carey who cycled a staggering 107 miles in one day in aid of the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

As those who know us will already know, we are quite a sporty bunch at McDade Roberts. Our latest sporting achievement was completed by McDade Roberts MD Kevin Carey who cycled a staggering 107 miles in one day in aid of the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

It took Kevin just 7 hours 40 mins to complete the journey with an average speed of 14 miles per hour. Kevin climbed a total of 6000ft during the route from Southport to the Trough of Bowland and back.

The day was windy but dry in the first part of the morning then rain & drizzle later which helped cool him down for the final push to the end.

There were over 1000 cyclists taking part in the charity event to support the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and Kevin was a very proud member of the fundraising effort.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of the largest cancer centres in the country, with 10 sites across Merseyside and Cheshire, including our purpose-built radiotherapy centre at Aintree.

Kevin’s efforts alone raised over £600 and further donations can be made by clicking here:

Well done Kevin! Everyone at McDade Roberts is very proud of you.
