Kevin Carey BA (Hons), ACA | Managing Director

Kevin was born in Yorkshire but has spent the last 15 years in the Preston area as an accountant. He is married with two children. Having joined McDade Roberts in 1999 he is now Managing Director. The main focus of his work is the advice to Small and Medium sized enterprises in accounting and tax. With a young family he has very little time outside of the family but does try to play golf and is involved in various watersports with his children including surfing, canoeing and sailing.

Philip McDade AAIA | Director

Philip has been in practice for 30 years now. Married to Sue, he is an occasional golfer and keen tennis player.  He specialises in farming, food markets as well as construction activities. He is a member of Preston North Rotary Club and is involved in many charitable causes.

Alan Roberts FCA |Director

Alan is very much a local, being born and bred in Goosnargh.  He attended Preston Grammar School before training as a chartered accountant in Preston town centre. He has been qualified for over 30 years and has experience of a very wide range of businesses, advising on a wide variety of business, accounts and tax issues. Outside work his main hobby is golf but this is quickly being overtaken by looking after grandchildren.

John Stokes FCA | Director

John has over thirty years’ experience as a chartered accountant and business adviser.  He deals with a wide portfolio of SME clients with turnovers of up to £50 million per annum.

Having run his own business for 14 years, John is only too aware of the issues and challenges facing business owners in the current economic climate.

Outside of the office, John is a keen walker, loves music and cooking and is a dedicated football fan.

Simon Denye BSc (Hons), ACA | Director

Simon was born in Lytham.  He spent the first ten years of his career working for 2 of the Big ‘4’ accountancy firms.  At McDade Roberts, he advises a wide range of clients on all areas of taxation ensuring that his clients don’t pay more tax than they need to.  He is married with one young son.  He is a keen golfer and despite having limited time outside work, due to being a devoted dad, he maintains a low single figure handicap.
