We were invited to Haydock for an afternoon of flat racing with leading accounting software provider, FreeAgent and spent a fun time in the hospitality box.
Food and drinks were provided and we were greeted by current jumps jockey Daryl Jacob who ran through the card with us, providing us with some much needed tips!
Daryl also took us into the pre parade ring before the second race to see the horses up close, and he give an insight into the conditioning and different behaviours of the 2 year old's before that race.
We learned about the different head gear and tack that horses use, depending on what they had shown in their home schooling work before their debuts on the race track. We then returned to the box to watch the rest of the racing and a great day was had by all.
